Innumerable varieties of birds are found in this particular region and this is due to the great diversity in the type of forests, the temperatures and the climates of this region.

Remember to always carry a pair of boots, umbrella, hat, camera and binoculars when you venture on a bird watching spree.

Go in for wind surfing as the Tilaran area is among the best regions to surf in the world. There are also other activities like going in for fishing, scuba diving, rafting, kayaking and boating.

There are several tour operators also who offer tours and itineraries to go to the Monteverde and Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserves and also the active Arenal Volcano.

There are numerous areas that are fascinating to visit. The Pacific coast that is the Guanacaste and the Central Puntarenas is one of the best surfing zones in Central America. Learning to surf is one aspect before you go in to enjoy it. Tamarindo is the best place for it.
